A House is a Square with an Equilateral Triangle on Top is a textile, visual, and performative installation that reflects on the passage of time, family, and the sense of belonging in a rural, impoverished environment. It brings together diverse materials — such as debris, family photos and videos from the archive, and a cookie cake — into a poignant dialogue. The interaction between these elements is central to the work, which ultimately serves as a raw and heartfelt testimony of the struggle to navigate grief and the emotional complexities brought on by migration, loneliness, and distance.

A House is a Square with an Equilateral Triangle on Top was featured at the Diamond Screen: Film and Media Arts Festival in May 2024, where it won the Best Art Project Award from Temple University’s School of Theater, Film and Media Arts in Philadelphia.
